Matsushita Electric Industrial, the former of Panasonic, along with Sony are ready to pro-mote a brand new Blu-ray technology to optical disc recorders which can store data up to1-terabyte with high-definition recording.

The resolution is awesome and is about 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. This technology can easily compete with the HD DVD format backed by Toshiba and Microsoft.The 1 terabyte drive is able to store a programs of 381 hours and it's cost is $2,600. It will be on sale from November 1, in Japan.

Matsushita will first took the wraps off their new product at the CEATEC Japan 2007 electronics industry trade show on Tuesday. They also added that from November 1the brand new three products of this technology will be available for everybody. Another model of 500GB hard disk drive is of $1,125. Video rental chain Blockbuster, the largest U.S. provider of home movie-entertainment, appeared in favor of the Blu-ray format in June.
