The other day I got a new phone, which was a Samsung S6 Edge. The phone's screen curves on the sides which gives an edge display. The edge display is one of the phone's main selling points, along with the 4K back camera and Fast Charging.
Edge Display
The edge display has lots of features. If you swipe left and right while the phone screen is off, you can see the time, weather, and your notifications. You can set a night clock, so at a certain time a clock will appear on the edge screen, so you don't have to unlock your phone at night to see the time. While the phone is unlocked, if you swipe from the edge screen you can see your favorite contacts. From there you can select a contact and quickly call or send a text. If you swipe left from your contacts, you can set your favorite apps and open them quickly.
Camera
Here is the information about the camera from Samsung's website:
It is a 16MP/FL9, SmartOIS/VDIS, and Auto real-time HDR.
The front camera is a 5MP/FL9, 120 Degree Wide Selfie Angle, Auto real-time HDR.
Fast Charging
The battery life on the S6 is not anything special. On power saving mode, I can watch two hours of YouTube, play an hour of CPU Intensive games, and my battery was on 30%. But the charger is really incredible. If you are on 2% and put it on the charger bundled with the phone, you can be fully charged in about an hour. It's pretty incredible.
My Opinion on the Phone
The S6 Edge is a pretty good phone. The specs aren't anything special, but it can still run CPU Intensive games with no problem. It is good for streaming video and movies, the camera is amazing, and the edge screen is one of the best features on a phone in a while. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is one of the best phones I have ever had.
